West Angle Bay

Description

Folded and faulted limestones of Carboniferous age. This coastal outcrop in western Pembrokeshire exposes meso-scale fold-thrust structures that vary significantly along strike. Fold patterns tend to change quite rapidly here: try and trace individual fold hinges from the water's edge and see how they change geometry.
