3D model of southeastern coast of Hokkaido

Description

This 3D model combines topography, slab interface geometry and focal mechanism (magnitude larger than 7) of a 1 by 1 degree region along the southeastern coast of Hokkaido. It is generated using the program tectoplot (https://github.com/kyleedwardbradley/tectoplot), for module ES3102 Global Tectonics, ASE, NTU. Topography is from GMT’s online topography database (01s); focal mechanisms are from GCMT; the slab interface geometry is from Slab2.0; tectoplot command used: tectoplot -r 143.5 144.5 42.7 43.7 -t 01s -vc red 1p 0.3i -c -cmag 7 10 -b -noframe -makeply topoexag 3 maxsize 800 ocean maptiff scale 0.5 box 150
