An incomplete copper alloy dagger scabbard chape dating to the late Medieval date to early Post Medieval period (c. AD 1400 - 1600). The object is formed from a sheet of copper alloy, rolled over to form a narrow, tapering tube. Where the ends of the rolled sheet of alloy meet they are overlapped and there is a single, longitudinal seam. The opening at the top end is cracked and fragmented. The metal sheet is 0.9 mm thick. A band of possible floral motifs are present at the top. The chape has been silvered.
