Fan-shaped columns in andesite, Spain

Description

**Location:** Playa Monsul, Cabo de Gata Natural Park, Spain **Longitude:** -2.147917 **Latitude:** 36.7316845 Fanning out of columnar joints in adesitic lava. This outcrop is associated with the andesitic autoclastic breccia of another spectacular outcrop at Playa Monsul (https://skfb.ly/6RLDF) and is approx. 100 meters NW of it. The outcrop is approx. 1-4 meters tall and 10-18 meters wide, with individual columns having a diameter of 15 - 20 cm.
