Aminoacylation of tRNA is the first step of protein synthesis. The aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases charge specific tRNA with the proper amino acid for precise protein synthesis in the ribosome. The aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases ensure proper translation from the genetic code of DNA into the amino acid code of proteins. The human tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase in this model is responsoble for adding tryptophan to the Trp-tRNA. The model was built using ChimeraX from data in the Protein Data Bank (PDB ID 2AZX) https://www.rcsb.org/structure/2AZX & https://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimerax/.
