The stone lies at the south end of North Lenihuline wood, Isle of Bute. NW 7 metres from a fence to the south, in birch woodland. A new track lies further south of the new fence line. Immediately beside the stone there is a pile of smaller stones, to the west. The stone lies 25 metres west of a recently moved quartz boulder beside a gatepost and opening in the fence.
