Cloontuskert is an early ecclesiastical site, traditionally founded by St Faithlec, the site has a large number of cross-slabs and inscribed stones from various periods located around the graveyard. - These drains are located within the western wall of the graveyard and show the fine craftman ship of the medieval church which once stood on the site - This stone appears to be much later in date to others at the site, but is possible the the initials T E were added to an earlier stone, A sun cross, latin cross, and some unfinished marks can be seen on the stone, and it may have been a stonemason practicing his craft.
