To add to my subject of Turkish mythology and culture, there was no reason not to model one of the most iconic blades from the region, being the turkic saber, used by various nomads and most notably the mongol empire, fully textured using realistic textures and ranging in the high polies, anyone is free view the model and click on the annotations to find fact's about the blades and download to be used in any way pleased. Annotaions 1. Pommel: the caped end at the back, it helps keep the grip attached and strengthens the users grip as it prevent the handle sliding out of your hands 2. Grip: Grip is where you hold the sword, In this case the grip is made out of leather strapping. 3. Guard: The guard is located between the handle and the blade, and protects the holder's hand from sliding blades, it's rather important to know that is guard is called a rain-guard as it's covers the whole of a blade as a circle like a umbrella 4. Blade: the dangerous point of the sword, and is where the cutting takes place.
