3D model of the Boogardie Orbicular Granite quarry. The Boogardie Orbicular Granite is located 35 km west of Mount Magnet in the Murchison region. It consists of medium- to coarse-grained biotite monzogranite to granodiorite containing subspherical dioritic orbicules up to 15 cm across, composed mainly of concentric layers of ±radially aligned plagioclase and hornblende. The rock is dated at c. 2692 Ma and is hosted by porphyritic monzogranite dated at c. 2701 Ma.
