A decorated axe with a sleeve and an eyelet, found in the 1970s on a field in Gorzyce near Żabno in Poland. The eyelet was of practical value; it was used to attach the axe to a handle, which was bent at a right angle and entered into the sleeve. The handles were made of carefully selected bent pieces of wood. This artefact, which is already 3000 years old, is covered with a dark green noble patina protecting it against corrosion. **For more images and further information, visit:** https://muzea.malopolska.pl/en/objects-list/386 Inventory number: MT-A/1 Localisation of the physical object: District Museum in Tarnów, Poland **Digitalisation: Regional Digitalisation Lab, Małopolska Institute of Culture in Kraków, Poland; “Virtual Museums of Małopolska” Project**
