GT2225 Stoneware, Vergulde Draeck (Gilt Dragon)

Description

Western Australian Museum, Maritime Archaeology Collection. STONEWARE. Upper part of saltglaze stoneware Rheinish beardman jug; coarse dark brown mottle. Neck and handle complete. Mask and part of floral medallion (cf. GT870). 2 sherds have been glued into place. Encrusted with coralline algae on inner surface.
